MedAfrica Launched Officially on 1.1.11

Do you guys remember Pivot 25? The Mobile Apps & Developer Conference. The overall winning app was MedKenya by Shimba Technologies, which was more like a directory for doctors and medical services.

They got to travel to Silicon Valley in the US, which the lead developer @smutinda says it’s like an MBA in 6 days.

They came back having improved their business skills (he did say MBA), and possibly secured seed funding. They re-branded the app as MedAfrica because they wanted to reach a larger audience, not just Kenya.

To test out the app, go to the MedAfrica site on your mobile phone and download.
