They got to travel to Silicon Valley in the US, which the lead developer @smutinda says it’s like an MBA in 6 days.
They came back having improved their business skills (he did say MBA), and possibly secured seed funding. They re-branded the app as MedAfrica because they wanted to reach a larger audience, not just Kenya.
I was among the invited guests at the launch, where the app was formally launched by the chairperson of the Kenya ICT Board, Catherine Ngagu.
